Venkat Ramakrishnan believes that every human should live like a tree – grow, thrive, and give life to many lives. If you watch a tree, you will see that it not only gives fruits, flowers, and many other by-products, it also supports many lives to live on it. It protects all of us by providing us food and shelter, while protecting the Earth by consuming Carbon-di-oxide, nurturing the soil, and prevents the top soil from eroding thus preserving the richness of the soil. Human beings should live like that too – to nurture and give to our surroundings and community, and see the interconnectedness of all in the whole scheme of things.
In my small endeavor, I help organisations around the world who are working on planting trees and protecting the environment to raise funds to support their projects, through crowd-funding. Poetry
In May 2020, when the coronovirus lockdown was placed in India, I discovered my abilities to rhyme! I am in the process of writing a set of poems focused on environment, and I hope that it would reach you in the form of a book soon!
Music
I’m trained in Indian Carnatic music. I enjoy several other forms of music including Latin music. I have my own music instruments and a decent mixer. One of these days, I might procure a synthesizer box to make music.
