Yes, you read that right! It’s not Reverse Casual Friday for me, it’s Reverse Causal Friday, as I am studying about Reverse Causality and Software Testing.
Welcome to the life of a Computer Science professional! You got to be always on your toes on how to improve things, how to find new methods to bring effectiveness to the work that you are doing.
For me, it’s Software Testing and Quality, and hence, I am looking at how ‘Reverse Causality’ can be used to build an effective model for Software Testing.
Model-based Testing is not new, and there have been multiple tools in the market to address this. The major challenge is how to make sure that your model itself has been done correctly. There could be several challenges like – wrong associations because of wrong understanding of the relationships, human errors in entering the model, and so on.
Different approaches are being attempted – product level, module level, at the test case level, and so on. My primary concern as of now is to get the theory behind it right, so that the practical aspects can always be looked later.
So, while many are celebrating “Reverse Casual Friday” today, I am celebrating “Reverse Causal Friday”. And believe me, it’s not boring!
