Apple Intelligence may be old news for some of you – it got released on October 28th this year. But it is an interesting technology involving GenAI as the GenAI module is integrated into its A18 bionic chip. It is interesting because for answering queries and prompts, the system uses the GenAI module in its chip internally, and does not consult with external sources over the cloud, which improves the security and privacy posture.
I for one am quite interested in looking deeply into this technology as security is one of the key pillars in Software Quality. From Software Testing perspective, I would like to delve deeply into the various aspects of Apple Intelligence and explore how the existing techniques as well as may be new techniques that could be introduced will help testing this intelligence to a satisfactory extent. I am saying satisfactory because no testing can be perfect and quality can never be assured!
In iPhone 16, iPhone Pro, and iPhone Pro Max, Apple intelligence is available. It sounded very interesting when I looked at the various aspects like features, use cases, performance, accuracy, etc. While I am fine tuning my strategy for testing these various aspects, I plan to be constantly learning, as each day would be a surprise for me! I am sure that it would be the same case for many active iPhone 16.0 users who apply Apple Intelligence.
I look forward to write a few articles in the future regarding these various aspects. For those who are interested in learning about those, please bookmark this blog and visit often to check for updates. You could add to your RSS feed too to get alerted. I look forward to hear your valuable comments and feedback.
If you are an organisation who wish to discuss strategies for testing Apple Intelligence for your clientele, please feel free to get in touch with me. Glad to help!
