Sometime back, I was going through the online resources and videos on Software Testing. There were so many, especially the resources that are related to the Software Testing tools were bountiful. In spite of so many tools available for a wide variety of purposes – from data generation to Model Based Testing to AI-based automation tools, there are still so many defects in the software. The tools can just be that – tools, and it’s up to the human tester to do the testing by using the tools, and not let tools do the testing for them.
Decades have gone by since software came into being, but the basic tenets of Software Testing has not changed. There are some key qualities that a Software Tester need to have in order to be an effective tester, and enable world-class software. So, I thought about what are those key qualities, and I could come up with three.
In this video, I talk about the 3 key qualities that would make a great tester. Watch it:
Making that video gave me some peace! That I am contributing in my own way to make better testers. That it is not just the tools or the frameworks or the automation that the Software Testing has gotten it into, but the underlying talents (or the skills if you wish to call it that way) that would make great testers.
Hope you enjoyed watching the video. By the way, lot of more good stuff coming up, so don’t forget to subscribe to my channel!
